Steven Vogel

Retreat Brand
I emailed Steven Vogel (author of Streetwear The Book) a few weeks back and we got chatting about various things from the book itself and I accidentally mentioned Retreat(haha).
Anyways I sent him out a couple of tees and I think he liked them.

SPRING/SUMMER CANCELLED!!!

Due to circumstances, we are putting all production on hold until further notice.
Unfortunately this means that we will not be releasing our spring/summer collection as scheduled.
We will return next season though.
Sorry about this. Beanies will be added to the online store at a reduced price and the rest of the stock will be reduced to clear.
thanks
Sid

30% Fist 70 leg

Drunken Master - Probably one of my best martial arts movies ever. I think this was bought for me along with Snake In The Eagles Shadow when I was 7 years old. Although Jackie Chan was the main star, I think he was pushed aside by both Thunderfoot and Sam Seed.
I was fascinated by Thunderfoot - played by Korean martial arts expert Hwang Jang Lee AKA Silverfox. He was the ultimate bad guy!!

Wheels of Steel

Thought i would share with you some of my best DJ showcase performances.
Who else could I put to show you how to do a scratch routine other than Q-Bert.
Also checkout DJ Noize's Planet Rock routine. I first heard him perform this live at Fresh 98 and he blew me away. Still sounds awesome today.
And also Tony Vegas and Prime Cuts from the UK crew Scratch Perverts and DJ Babu's Blind Alley juggle.
enjoy

International Love

Received a nice little gift in the post, courtesy of my mate Lochness from over the pond at The Award Tour. Quality stuff guys. Expect big things from these guys.
Thanks again!!!

James Lavelle DJ Set

Caught James Lavelle last night. Again I was a little disappointed with his overall choice of tunes. For someone with his back catalogue of stuff I think its time he changed his sets.
We stopped by another club and checkout the set up of the DJ's records. Awesome.

Dirty Sanchez

Went to see Dainton and Pritchard last night, who are one half of the Dirty Sanchez crew. If you haven't heard of them, they are the Welsh equivalent to Jackass who have a show on MTV.
Pretty sick on tv but to be honest I was a little disappointed. For 15 notes I was expecting a lot of blood, sick and shit!!!
There was a bit of shit. About 40 minutes worth. Bit of a let down boys.
Took a few images though. So check them out

Back to Work

Quiet night in. Thought I'd put on some beats and continue on with the autumn/winter designs. Some completed, some still in the draft stages but all in all coming on nicely.
Some images for you to checkout.
Thanks

The night before

Couple of scoops at the pub with the crew.

Memory Lane

Found a few old photos laying around and thought I'd post them up. Will add more when they are found.
Way before Retreat was even considered. This is me at Fresh '98 in London with Denmarks DJ Noize. Noize did an amazing juggle routine with two copies of Planet Rock. Blew me away. What was funny was that I was chatting to Banksy whiles in the queue to get in the place. He had contributed some of the Graf at the event. Again, way before his pieces were selling for big dollars!!

Here is me with A-Train Trak at the 2000 World DMC's at Londons Millenium Dome. Again way before becomming Kanye Wests DJ. He was the youngest to ever win the DMC's though at just 15 years old.
Here he had won the team battle along with Craze and the Allies.

Hailing from Detroit, Andres AKA DJ Des from Hip Hop group Slum Village played a wide range of quality tunes.
Awesome Saturday night. Terrible Sunday!!
